We went for a walk around the lake yesterday morning at about 8.30am and were very unhappy to see the state of the beach/playground area. Obviously because it had been such a warm evening on Saturday youths had been in the area trying to light large branches to make a fire, a bin had been emptied and litter strewn over the beach and worst of all several bottles/glasses had been smashed. Is it not possible for police/community police to carry out some form of surveillance, particularly during the summer when these problems are increased?
The Lido is such a lovely place and it's a real shame that it should be spoiled for many by a few stupid individuals. I am not killjoy and have no problem with young people enjoying themselves, but this kind of vandalism is really annoying and unnecessary, especially when children could easly cut their feet etc if the glass finds its way into the sand.

Many thanks and we shall continue to enjoy this lovely local amenity despite the few idiots.
