Feeding the Splash Pad

Water Pipe

It transpires that the existing water supply at the beach doesn’t have adequate pressure to drive the splash pad so a new supply has been installed.  Running from the road and under the Lido it will be held down with sandbags.

When the Lido was constructed in 1811 its purpose was to act as a feeder pipe to top up the Grand Union Canal thereby enabling the Industrial Revolution.

Now, 200 years later, its role is to act as a cover for a feeder pipe to top up splash pad.
