A presentation on the function of the Ranger Patrol was given by rangers Pat and Peter. The objective is to promote and encourage the proper use of all parks and public open spaces and following this presentation a new pages has been created to provide an overview plus contact details.
Kay Webb from Swan Lifeline then gave a presentation on the work undertaken by the charity which rescues and provide shelter and treatment for sick, neglected and injured swans. The Friends of Ruislip Lido made a donation to Swan Lifeline and there was also a lot of interesting merchandise on offer.
Also a new book for children called “Teddies and Trains“, about adventures on the Ruislip Lido Railway, was on display.
Finally Vicky Brownlee gave an update on the ongoing activities which include binoculars, another rain shelter and a proposal to undertake major improvements to the dilapidated toilets.
